This traditional NS Milk Can is the type that was made at the Watson Smith Tin Shop in Shubenacadie, the Tin Shop is now a museum but these types of Milk Cans can be found around Nova Scotia. I have painted this can with one side depicting a typical lighthouse on one side and a red roof cottage on the other. The soil being full of iron in Nova Scotia often shows up red in the sand. The Collar on the can is encircled with sea shells and birds.
